Magen Lee (b. 1998) is a london-based painter. Her work is about waking dreams, elemental forces, and our connection to nature. Bright floral forms merge and shift to create real, and yet totally surreal, environments. Inspired by a wide array of crafts and cultures, such as the calligraphy of japanese zen masters, sufi poetry, and inca stonework, the artist explores symbols of life and love. Her world is something cosmic, beyond flesh and blood. It speaks to that which is still in potential. In addition to her paintings, Magen Lee undertakes multi-media collaborations, writes poetry, and has a photography practice focused on natural landscapes.
