A continuation of Francesco Maccapani Missoni’s Optical Dissuasions series, this second design magnifies the interplay of repetition and pause. Subtle contrasts and precise lines create a dialogue between structure and freedom , a visual meditation in perpetual motion.

Each hand fan is crafted on premium cotton with Danta-Kotibe wood, embodying Missoni’s refined minimalism and Feeria’s dedication to artisanal excellence.

About the Collaboration

Francesco Maccapani Missoni, son of Angela Missoni, grandson of Rosita and Ottavio Missoni, graduated in architecture from Milan Polytechnic. After years of internships in Milan and New York, he shifted focus from architecture to found startups in digital strategy and venture capital, including Milano Venture Company (2013) and Notomia (2018).

A food enthusiast, he published The Missoni Family Cookbook in 2018 with Assouline. In his art, Francesco weaves strips of colored paper, crafting magnetic canvases that he ’ s exhibited globally, from Istanbul to Miami. Recognized as Designer of the Year at São Paulo Design Week 2023, his work continues to gain acclaim.
